| LABORATORY
TECHNICIANS
Will
work under the direct supervision
of the Laboratory Supervisor
and perform standardized
testing in house and in
the field such as compression
testing, soils sieve analysis,
asphalt testing and prepare
written reports of activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High
school graduate or GED
- Must
have dependable transportation
- General
knowledge of the construction
industry
- Strong
mathematics background
- Ability
to read plans and work
independently
- Class “A” concrete
testing license
DUTIES:
- Perform
laboratory testing in
house such as breaking
concrete cylinders, sieve
analysis, proctor testing
and asphalt testing
- Perform
field testing on site
such as concrete testing
and inspection, re-bar
inspection, soil compaction
tests and the collection
of samples
- Perform
asphalt gradation testing
at production plant
- Perform
inspection of the installation
of asphalt pavement as
to conformance to industry
standard
